Refund Policy

Takes effect the day the app is publicly released

This English version is a translation for convenience; the Korean version prevails.

1. Hearts bought in the app and how refunds work

  • In the app, hearts are sold only as in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play. Refunds go through the store you paid in, or the Company makes them itself, as below.

2. Withdrawal

  • Within 7 days of payment (or of receiving the hearts, if later) you can withdraw: the whole order if none of its hearts were used, otherwise the paid hearts not yet used (Korean E-Commerce Act, Article 17(2)(v), proviso).
  • The refund is the amount paid divided by the hearts in that order, times the paid hearts not used. Free hearts are used first, then paid hearts, the oldest order first.

3. Bought on the App Store

  • Ask through Apple's refund process (reportaproblem.apple.com and the like). Apple decides whether to refund.
  • For a request within 7 days of payment, the Company tells Apple it prefers a full or prorated refund — for members who agreed to share consumption information.
  • If your case is covered by the withdrawal above and Apple doesn't refund it, email support@hyperitycorp.com: the Company takes back that order's unused paid hearts and repays their amount within 3 business days (tell us how you'd like to receive it).

4. Bought on Google Play

  • Send your order number to support@hyperitycorp.com: after checking, the Company refunds it in full or in part through Google Play within 3 business days.
  • Right after a purchase you can also ask Google Play directly, under Google Play's refund policy.

5. When refunds are limited

  • Hearts already used (Article 17(2)(v)), orders more than 7 days old (Article 17(1)) and free hearts are not refunded.
  • These limits, and the free ways to try before buying (the first chapter with the first character you meet, without signing up; the welcome gift), are shown before you buy.
  • But if the hearts are not as shown or advertised, or not as agreed, you can withdraw within 3 months of receiving them and within 30 days of when you knew or could have known (Article 17(3)).

6. Purchases by minors

  • A purchase a minor member made without the legal guardian’s consent can be cancelled by the member or the guardian (Korean Civil Act, Article 5) — except a purchase within money the guardian allowed the minor to spend (Article 6), or where the minor used deception to be taken as of age or as having the guardian’s consent (Article 17).
  • Ask by the same ways as above for each store; the Company may ask for the least proof needed that you are the guardian.

7. Hearts of a refunded purchase

  • When a purchase is refunded, its share of hearts is taken back (in proportion, for a partial refund). If some were already used, your balance can go below zero; hearts you get afterwards (free ones first) fill it, and features that cost hearts pause until then.

8. Leaving and the hearts left

  • On deleting your account, all hearts left disappear — free and bought alike. The deletion screen shows how many are left (bought ones included), and its button opens only after you separately agree that they will disappear. A purchase made within 7 days of payment can still be withdrawn first, by the ways above, before deleting.
